WHAT’S A GROUPER PARTY FLOAT KIT?
The GROUPER Party Float Kit is a complete kit that takes your music and drinks offshore into the water while you hang with friends. It’s a ideal for your time in the ocean, a lake or a river. The kit includes a 41” inflatable tube with 6 drink holders, a USB rechargeable mini pump to inflate the tube on site, a 40W IP68 waterproof wireless speaker that you place and secure to the center of the tube on the mesh drain floor, a waterproof phone case that connects to the side of the tube to stream your music to the speaker, an anchor bag and elastic anchor line with carabiners to anchor the float in place for your groups water spot, an extra dry bag for extra drinks and empties (KEEP OUR WATERS CLEAN!), an accessory carry case (all but the float) and master carry case for the accessory case and float.
WILL I BE ABLE TO SET IT UP BY MYSELF?
Yes, the GROUPER party float kit offers a fast and easy set up that can be done by one person.
HOW DO I SETUP THE GROUPER KIT?
1: UNPACK AND UNFOLD: Unpack the kit and place the tube unfolded flat in the sand making sure there are no shells or sharp debris under it that could puncture the tube. Find the air valve. It has 2 seals, the larger bottom one is for deflating and has a one-way air valve to simplify the inflating process. If the larger valve is not already pressed into the tube, place your hand on one side of the tube and press the larger valve flush into the air nozzle against your hand. NOTE: Don’t press it shut against something solid that could damage the float.
2: The pump comes with several different fill nozzles. Use the soft silicone rubber nozzle to fill the tube. Place the solid end of the nozzle into the pump and then place the rubber end flush onto the air valve of the tube. Press the power button on the air pump twice to turn on the pump and inflate the tube and once to turn it off. NOTE: Make sure not to over inflate the tube.
3: Fill the anchor bag 2/3rds with sand, roll it shut while pressing out the air and connect the ends together. Then connect the black carabiner hook on the anchor line to the anchor bag plastic ring.
4: Connect the speaker carabiner to one of the grommets in the center compartment. Connect the phone case carabiner to one of the grommets next to a drink holder. Make sure the phone case is completely closed after you put your phone in it. You can operate the phone display through the phone case.
5: Carry the tube and anchor bag into the water, drop anchor and connect the blue anchor line carabiners to the 2 grommets on the bottom side of the float. NOTE: ALWAYS carry the anchor into the water to your GROUPER water party destination, NEVER drag the anchor.
6: You can power up the speaker and sync to your phone onshore or offshore when you’re in the water.
NOTE: NEVER DRAG THE ANCHOR WHEN CONNECTED TO THE FLOAT. CARRY IT SEPARATE OF THE FLOAT TO YOUR WATER PARTY DESTINATION.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SET UP?
Less than 10 minutes is all you’ll need to set up the entire kit. It takes 2-3 minutes to inflate the tube which is the longest part of the setup process. Then set up your anchor system, connect the speaker and phone to the grouper, power up and sync your tunes.
HOW DO I INFLATE AND DEFLATE THE TUBE?
The pump comes with several different fill nozzles. To deflate the tube, remove the larger air valve cap to let the air out. NOTE: If you put slight pressure on the tube to help deflate it, make sure there is nothing below it that could puncture it. The tube does not have a warranty.
HOW DO I OPERATE THE PUMP AND ITS LANTERN FEATURES?
The mini-air pump also includes a LED lantern/flashlight feature. Fully charge the pump using a USB charger similar to the one you use for a phone or other devices. Press the upper power button on the pump twice to turn it on and once for off. Press the lower power button on the lantern twice to turn it on and once to select the different lighting features until it turns off. See pump instructions for more details.
WHEN SHOULD I CONNECT THE ANCHOR TO THE TUBE?
You can connect the anchor to the tube on land or offshore once you’re in the water but NEVER drag the anchor with the line or the tube. Always carry the anchor into the water to your GROUPER water party destination.
WHERE DOES THE SPEAKER GO ON THE GROUPER FLOAT?
Connect the speaker carabiner to one of the gromets in the center compartment of the tube and lay it on the mesh daring floor. Always make sure it’s connected to a grommet in case a wave tips the float.
WHERE DOES THE PHONE CASE GO ON THE GROUPER FLOAT?
Connect the phone case to one of the gromets right below the cup holders. The bottom of the waterproof phone case will hang partially in the water to heatsink the phone in hot sun and prevent it from overheating. Smart huh? Always make sure it’s sealed and securely connected to a grommet in case a wave tips the float.
HOW DO I OPERATE THE SPEAKER?
Power up your speaker and connect it to the your phones Bluetooth connection just like most wireless speakers. See speaker instructions for more details.
IS THE SPEAKER WATERPROOF?
Yes the speaker is IP68 waterproof rated for water use and is designed to be used with the Grouper in such a setting. Please always treat your speaker with care as you would any other waterproof rated wireless speaker.
SHOULD I DRY THE SPEAKER AFTER USE?
It’s recommended to use the pump to flow off any sand and salt after each use of the speaker at the beach.
HOW DOES THE ANCHOR BAG AND LINE CONNECT TO THE TUBE?
There are 2 grommets on the bottom of the tube and 2 blue carabiners on one end of the anchor line. Connect the blue carabiners to the grommets on the bottom of the tube.
WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO REPACK THE GROUPER KIT?
Always pack all the accessories (pump, speaker, anchor line and phone case) into the 10L accessory dry bag and place it into the bottom of the large 30L carry case (drybag). Then pack the deflated and folded up tube, anchor bag and extra drybag into the large 30L carry case (drybag) over the accessory bag and close the carry case the same way you closed the anchor bag.
CAN YOU SIT IN THE FLOAT OR USE IT LIKE A REGULAR TUBE?
Although the float is designed supporting all the accessories to allow you to enjoy music and drinks offshore, the float will support a person like a regular river tube however it’s not recommended to use it this way.
